Water extinguishing systems feature an effective, non-toxic extinguishing agent that is available at low cost, and can be used for a variety of industrial applications. Different systems are used according to the objects they protect.

Our extinguishing systems are individually planned depending on the respective application.

Sprinkler Systems

Wet sprinkler systems are very common due their simple structure with high effectiveness and reliability.

They consist of a pipe network filled with water installed in the protection zone and an extinguishing water reservoir. Evenly distributed sprinkler heads are closed off by temperature-sensitive ampoules, which burst at rising room temperatures and release the extinguishing water into the sprinkler zone.

Installing a sprinkler system reliably protects the hazard area around the clock.

Dry Sprinkler Systems

Since the extinguishing water could cause pipes to burst if they are exposed to frost, the pipework in question is filled with compressed air in such cases. In case of a fire, the compressed air followed by extinguishing water escapes through the sprinkler heads opened by heat.

A combination of mechanical and electrical detection is common as well. This prevents the sprinkler system from being activated by mechanical impacts on the sprinkler head.

Spray Flood Extinguishing Systems

Spray flood extinguishing systems are used in areas with high fire loads where there is a risk that the fire may spread very rapidly. Such a system is similar to a conventional sprinkler system, except that it is “open” which means the sprinkler heads are not closed off.

The spray water extinguishing system is triggered by electrical fire detectors and a control centre. In case of a fire, it floods the entire protection zone.

Fine Spray Extinguishing Systems

The volume of water used in extinguishing systems can be reduced by increasing the specific surface area of the extinguishing water. In practice, an atomised spray is generated with the help of special nozzles. Reducing the drop size makes it possible to reliably extinguish the flames with very small quantities of water.

As a rule, the extinguishing process is controlled electrically from a control centre which is also capable of controlling equipment and ventilation flaps or issuing an external alarm.

Semi-Fixed Systems

Many fire extinguishing systems can be realised as semi-fixed systems.

Only the pipework and nozzles are installed in this case. The costs for reservoirs and pressure boosters are eliminated since the extinguishing agent in case of a fire is supplied by mobile fire brigade units via the supply connection on the exterior of the building.

This allows the extinguishing water to be distributed in the protection zone from a safe distance without having to enter the building.
